Mark Jackson is a theoretical physicist, the founder of Fiat Physica and the Science Partnership Fund (two of the world's premier physics crowdfunding platforms), and, most recently, a new addition to the team at the technology company Cambridge Quantum Computing. If you're like us, that one sentence alone probably left you with more questions than answers. What does a theoretical physicist do? What is quantum computing? How do they overlap with social change? In this interview, Mark discusses it all, though the biggest takeaway from our chat is how much his 15 years of string theory and cosmology research inform his work as a social entrepreneur today.

This Computer Science Education Week, hear how Mark looks to many lessons learned in the lab for insight into how to take an idea and propel it into reality.
